Shekkhopir-deshe Graphic Art: Process (sketches)

Subject

Bidrohi Captain Pouch [Rebel Captain Pouch]

Description

These images show the artist's initial planning sketches, created while researching the history of the famine, and his work-in-progress as he developed the storyline, re-imagining the conditions of the 1590s famine in modern scenarios and experimenting with different styles of characterisation. He ultimately chose to focus on telling the story of food shortage through the eyes of Sir John Falstaff and the spectacles of the Elizabethan theatrical world.
