Description
The story of Bidrohi Captain Pouch [Rebel Captain Pouch] is based on academic sources and research which were discussed with the artists, after which Dukhushyam Chitrakar composed the narrative poem. Despite working with a story set in seventeenth-century England, he was quick to note and emphasise the regional inequalities and London-centric politics that drove the revolt. Dukhushyam's version of the poem focusses strongly on themes of protest and social justice.
